15:3 He ¹  does not slander, ² 

or do harm to others, ³ 

or insult his neighbor. ⁴

31:13 For I hear what so many are saying, ⁵ 

the terrifying news that comes from every direction. ⁶ 

When they plot together against me,

they figure out how they can take my life.

41:6 When someone comes to visit, ⁷  he pretends to be friendly; ⁸

101:5 I will destroy anyone who slanders his neighbor in secret.

I will not tolerate anyone who has a cocky demeanor and an arrogant attitude. ¹¹ 

[15:3]  ¹ sn Hebrew literature often assumes and reflects the male-oriented perspective of ancient Israelite society. The principle of the psalm is certainly applicable to all people, regardless of their gender or age.
